Drying, Brushing & Heat Styling K-Tip Extensions

Always fully dry the bonds — never air dry

1. Press water out with a microfiber towel; never wring or twist.
2. Spray a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant through the lengths.
3. Blow-dry the root area first until the bonds are completely dry, then move to the mids and ends.
4. Use medium heat at the root — keep direct, concentrated heat off the keratin itself.

Wet bonds are soft bonds. Going to bed or out the door on damp K-tips is the #1 cause of matting near the root and premature shedding.

Brush twice a day, gently

• Brush at least 2x daily — morning and night, plus before washing.
• Hold the hair firmly at the root with one hand so there's no tension on the bond.
• Use an extension-safe brush (boar or nylon loop bristles).
• Always detangle before bed and before getting in the shower.
• Never brush wet hair aggressively — work the ends first, then up.

Hot tools, with heat protectant every time

Curling wands, flat irons and waving tools are all safe on K-tip extensions — with one rule. Comb a heat protectant through evenly first so every strand is coated, and keep the hot tool away from the keratin bonds themselves. Heat directly on the bond will soften and shorten its life.
