What's the difference between hand-tied, sew-in and weft extensions?
They all describe the same install technique in my chair — wefts of premium hair hand-sewn (hand-tied) onto a beaded foundation row on your scalp. 'Sew-in,' 'sewn-in,' 'hand-tied' and 'weft' are all names for the same method. The variable is which weft I use: I install Genius wefts and Volume Genius wefts because they're cut-to-fit and lay truly flat, instead of traditional hand-knotted wefts which have to be stacked and can create a bump at the row.
How long does the installation take?
Less than two hours.
How often does the hair need to be replaced?
Ten to twelve months.
How often are maintenance move-ups?
Every six to eight weeks.
Will they damage my hair?
When installed and maintained correctly, sewn-in wefts and K-tips are gentle and protect the integrity of your natural hair.

Yes — vivid work always begins with an in-person consultation to plan your lift, tones and timeline.
How long will the color last?
Vivids fade with every wash — Longevity is completely dependent on home care. Every client varies in refresh frequency.
Will I have to bleach my hair?
Most vivid placements require pre-lightening; we'll discuss your starting level during consultation.

Yes — every lightening service in my chair includes a bond-builder. Hair integrity is non-negotiable.
Balayage or highlights — which should I book?
If you want soft, sun-kissed dimension with a low-maintenance grow-out, book balayage. If you want defined brightness or a bigger change in one sit, book highlights (full or partial). We'll finalize it in consultation.
